Livia Ign'cio is currently the head of Bonsucro in South America. Bonsucro is the leading global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane, whose purpose is to collectively accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane, convening over 300 members from more than 50 countries to address critical challenges in the sugarcane sector and drive both performance and impact through a system of sustainability standards. Livia assists more than 80 member-companies and promotes Bonsucro's value proposition across the South American region in 8 countries (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bol'via, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia), working with a wide range of organisations, from farmers and mills to traders and end-users. Livia has a master degree in Production Engineering and a degree in Environmental Engineering, both from the University of S'o Paulo (USP), having attended a sandwich period in Environmental Sciences at Leuphana Universit't L'neburg, in Germany. She is also an Occupational Safety Engineer from POLI-USP. Livia has more than 13 years of experience with sustainability, integrated management systems and certifications, having worked in companies such as EY (Ernst & Young), Ra'zen/Biosev and Alcoa.
