Sabrina Chabregas is Director of Research and Development at CTC – Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (Sugarcane Technology Center), where she leads integrated R&D initiatives across Brazil and the United States, driving innovation in sugarcane breeding, biotechnology, genome editing, and applied digital and agronomic technologies.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from ESALQ/USP, a Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding, and an MBA in Business Management from FGV, combining deep scientific training with strong strategic and business acumen.

Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles in global agribusiness companies, including Monsanto and Bayer, with responsibility for breeding, product development, and technology deployment across multiple crops, such as maize, soybean, and sugarcane, and across different geographies.

At CTC, her work focuses on translating advanced science into scalable impact, aligning long‑term R&D strategy, technology platforms, and talent development to increase productivity, resilience, and sustainability in the sugarcane and bioenergy sector.
