Thiago Bortoli is General Manager for Latin America at Sound Agriculture, a Silicon Valley-based agtech backed by Bayer Leaps, Syngenta Group Ventures, S2G Ventures, BMO, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Sound develops nature-inspired technologies that enhance plant-microbe communication and improve nutrient use efficiency. He joined in January 2025 to build the LATAM operation from the ground up, leading the rollout of TRIGGER and SOURCE. He brings more than 25 years in agribusiness, including over a decade across Monsanto, Climate, and Bayer, where he scaled Climate FieldView across the region and most recently led Bayer's New Business Models and Digital Solutions division for LATAM.
